The Goon Show

And now for something completely different....

Went to a show last weekend based on the life of Spike Milligan, Harry Secombe and Peter Sellars, better know as the authors of the Goon Show, a popular BBC radio show from the sixties and early seventies. In honour of the occasion I thought I'd post a couple of their classic radio shows.

The scripts were written by inspired lunatic Spike Milligan, and served as the basis for much of the classic British comedy of the seventies, notably Monty Python's Flying Circus.

So, if a bit of absurdist comedy is your bag ....
